Meeting Rooms 13 & 14

Join Christian Ignatavicius, Master of Mechanical Engineering student at The University of Melbourne, as he shares how hands-on industry experience is shaping the next generation of medical innovation.
Following an exchange in the Netherlands, Christian interned at Melbourne-based medtech company MAXONIQ, contributing to the design of custom maxillofacial implants and co-authoring a research paper. Now, he continues this partnership through his capstone project on TMJ prosthesis wear testing.
In this session, Christian will explore how student-driven research and industry collaboration can fast-track learning and accelerate real-world impact in biomedical engineering.
