Marking the culmination of the Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre’s (MEC) Student Startup Competition (SSC), this Finals event brings together the University of Melbourne community to celebrate innovation, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
Eight finalist teams will pitch their startup ideas live on stage to a panel of expert judges as they compete for a share of over $15,000 in prizes. The audience will also decide a winner! Cast your vote on the night and help crown the Airwallex People’s Choice Award.
From bold ideas to practical solutions, these pitches represent weeks of problem-solving, collaboration and entrepreneurial growth. Whether you’re a student, staff member, friend, or simply curious, this is your chance to see the next generation of founders in action.
Event outline:
6.00pm | Event Open - Kick off the night with pizza, soft drinks, games and giveaways.
6.40pm | Pitch Competition - Our finalists go head-to-head, pitching their boldest ideas in just 3 minutes each. Cheer them on and witness the next big thing unfold.
7.45pm | Award Ceremony - And the winner is… Celebrate the standout pitch as we crown the champion of the night!
8.00pm | Networking - Connect and celebrate with the founders and fellow innovators!
