Senior AI Scientist, NVIDIA AI Technology Centre

Dr Johan Barthélemy is a Senior AI Scientist at the NVIDIA AI Technology Center, where he collaborates with developers and researchers in building the next generation of AI-powered solutions. He previously led the Digital Living Lab, at the University of Wollongong, focusing on the research and development of AI and AIoT solutions for smart cities applications and biodiversity monitoring in extreme environments.

Yifei is also an Industry PhD Supervisor and Sessional Lecturer at the University of Melbourne, connecting academic research with entrepreneurship and real-world technology deployment.

Jenny Waycott is a Professor in Human-Computer Interaction at the School of Computing and Information Systems where she leads the Design for Ageing research theme. Professor Waycott conducts interdisciplinary research that investigates how technologies can be designed and used to support wellbeing, identity, and social connection in later life. She uses qualitative methods to inform inclusive and ethical design, identifying both the potential benefits and harms of using emerging technologies such as social robots in aged care settings.

Amber dropped out of high school at 16, overcame domestic violence and homelessness, and went on to study biomedical science. She scaled her first service-based business to $500K ARR in 1.5 years. Travel overseas gave her a front-row look at how curated rooms, product launches and community moments work in other markets, and she brought that energy back to Australia. She grew the IRL by Amber community to 5,000 people in 15 months and built her LinkedIn platform to 9,000 followers in 18 months.

Professor, Engineering Management, Department of Infrastructure Engineering, the University of Melbourne

Professor Lihai Zhang's research focuses on infrastructure protection and management, with particular expertise in reliability-based life-cycle assessment, risk-informed maintenance, and AI-enabled digital twin technologies. His work aims to improve infrastructure safety and resilience, extend service life, reduce life-cycle costs, and support the transition towards Net Zero. He is consistently ranked among the Stanford–Elsevier World’s Top 2% Scientists and is a Fellow and Chartered Professional Engineer of Engineers Australia.
