The Pearcey Oration is a premier annual event that unites national thought leaders from industry, government, academia, and society to explore the transformative impact of emerging technologies. Presented by a leading expert each year, the Oration offers powerful insights, vital foresight into our digital future. Inspired by Dr Trevor Pearcey, creator of Australia’s first digital computer, CSIRAC, this event continues his legacy of innovation and forward thinking.
In 2025, the Oration will be delivered by the Honourable Victor Dominello, former senior NSW Government minister and global pioneer in digital government. As the inaugural Minister for Customer Service and Digital, Victor led landmark reforms including Service NSW, the Department of Customer Service, and the Digital Restart Fund. Named one of Australia’s top 100 innovators by The Australian, his leadership redefined public service delivery.
The event also includes the presentation of the Victorian 2025 Pearcey Entrepreneur Award.
Victor Dominello was one of The Australian’s Top 100 Innovators (2022). As the world’s first Minister for Customer Service, he led major reforms in public service delivery, including Service NSW and the Digital Restart Fund. A former commercial lawyer, he co-founded ServiceGen in 2023 to advise on service transformation.
Victor is Chair of the Services Australia Independent Advisory Board and the Federal Digital ID Expert Panel, Strategic Advisor at Accenture, Advisor to the Tony Blair Institute, Professor at UNSW, and a board member of the Tech Council of Australia.
