Discover how leading organisations are embedding generative AI into their data systems to unlock smarter automation and deeper insights.
AI isn’t just about powerful models—it’s about the data that fuels them. Modern databases are evolving into intelligent platforms that bring AI and data together in new ways. In this session, we’ll explore how today’s data systems enable use cases such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, and autonomous AI agents—without requiring data movement or duplication. You’ll learn how features such as vector search, data model unification, and in-database data privacy policies make it possible to combine structured business data with unstructured content, embeddings, and large language models to deliver richer, more accurate insights. See how organizations are embedding generative AI directly into their data-driven applications to unlock new levels of automation, intelligence, and innovation.
The AI at Melbourne Colloquium Series is a program of talks on the future of artificial intelligence at The University of Melbourne.
This event is co-hosted by AI at Melbourne, Melbourne Connect, and CIS Doctoral Colloquium.
